PRP SERIES REPAIR PATCH & MASTIC FILLER

PRP-ST Melt Stick is a heat sensitive, PE copolymer-based stick used for minor superficial damages (alternatively identified as scratches/ cuts) on the mill applied PE coatings. These areas identified as minor-repairs are ones where in the damage does not extend to the bare metal.

Installation

It is easily done with a standard gas torch, and a spatula. After smoothening sharp edges, cleaning and pre-heating the identified area, the PRP-ST Melt Stick is heated above the damaged area till a glossy appearance of the surface.

For this installation no filler material is required. The molten adhesive is spread across the scratches, forming a solid bond with the substrate

After allowing for it to cool down, the hardened protruding adhesive is smoothened to the level of the PE factory coating, using a spatula or a paint scraper.
